‘Yearnings’ book released

Journalist, writer and publisher, Vishü Rita Krocha, released her book "Yearnings" at Ete Coffee, in Kohima on December 29.
At the release program, Rita said the book is a collection of 60 short poems and as the title suggests, it contains recollections of moments, people, places and things that she loves. She added that as one grows older, one realizes that a lot of things in life are temporary- there are people you lose along the way and then you are left with questions that have no answers. There are happy moments you lose to time and all you are left in the end are memories of times you once lived in.
ICFAI University assistant professor, Kevizonuo Kuolie remarked that as the book title indicated, Rita talks of nostalgia and the loss of familiarity. The loss is not just for one person but she laments for everyone and every good thing she lost in life – a beloved, a lover, a friend, childhood, the gone years and past days, and fleeting seasons. Kevizonuo also added that the poem reverberates with the words of someone that is hurting, but does not rave and rant. It quietly and gracefully accepts the losses without bitterness and says “just let the world be.” This, according to Kevizonuo, is the philosophy conveyed in the book.
