
Yondon Khel (YK) Pangti celebrated its 50th New Year fellowship with all age group under the theme. “victory” at yondon volley ball court on January 1.
According to DIPR report, the plaque was unveiled by the oldest person from yondon khel Chenio Odyuo in presence of church elders from different denominations. The first matriculate and graduate from the khel Chenio Shitiri’s exhortation speech was read out by Mhonbemo Shitiri. The speech stated that “our forefathers were warriors but they lived together in peace through love, sharing, without disharmony and were brave etc”. He said that 1st New Year fellowship was held in 1965 thereafter in many various fields blessing started pouring in abundance. He exhorted people to forgive, forget and bury the past and start living together as one to bring progress in all aspect.
The main speaker P. Oren Ngullie spoke on the theme “victory” wherein he said that fear of God with faith and trust would bring victory in all walks of life. The 1st weapon to success for the children was effective prayer by the parents, whereby he urged that everyone needed to maintain a plan, hardwork and preparation to achieve their goals in life.
Pangti Baptist Church pastor N. Manglio Ngullie invoked God’s blessing and also released the 50 years souvenir. Special song was presented by YYAP and others. Meshangphen Baptist Church pastor Emithung Shitiri who dedicated the bundle also prayed in remembrance of the departed pioneers and members. Offering prayer was rendered by AG Church Pangti pastor Yentso Ngullie .
The steering committee convenor and khel chairman Nrisao Shitiri gave welcome speech while invocation was pronounced by Nramo Shitiri deacon PBC. Benediction prayer was rendered by Ezanthung Ngullie and vote of thanks by convener Wobansao Kithan. The programme comperes were youth director PBC Benthungo Shitiri and youth director-cum-CNY superintendent Humsto village Chumbeno Kithan.
