A five-day orientation and workshop for youth on cultural integration and peace in Northeast was conducted by Yuva Kala Sadhna Shivir which concluded on March 30.
The valedictory function was graced by Minister of PHED, Jacob Zhimomi, as chief guest.
Others including Amir Chandra, All India Organizing Secretary Sanskar Bharati Poorvattor , Dr. Dananjay Kushre ,Shetra Pramukh, Pranjal Saikia and Jiten Sharma senior most artist from Assam, attended the programme as special guest.
The programme highlights were cultural presentation by Nagaland participants, later joined by all the resource persons and participants of the workshop with Naga traditional dance and folksong.
Kala Sadhak (artists and practitioners), under the age of 40 years, from eight states of the North East i.e. Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Sikkim, participated in the workshop.
Eminent Kala Gurus of different art fields like dance, drama, painting, music and Paridhanam (fashion) put in their efforts towards polishing the art and skill of Kala Sadhak to enhance their devotion and potential in art and culture.
