A donation drive initiated by Kewe Mero, a part-time content creator and YouTuber from Dimapur, has raised Rs. 4,30,447 within four days to support the medical treatment of 14-year-old Watirenla Longchar, Nokpu Village in Longchem under Mokokchung, who is battling Lupus disease since 2021.
A press release from Wepeu Mero informed that the drive began after Watirenla’s family, struggling with financial difficulties, approached Kewe Mero for help in funding her ongoing medical treatment.
Moved by their appeal, Kewe Mero launched the donation drive on his YouTube channel on August 31, 2024 and concluded on September 4.
Kewe expressed gratitude to all those who contributed generously to the cause and lauded everyone, who remembered Watirenla in their prayers.
