Pragtisheel Vision foundation in collaboration with North East Council (NEC) organized a youth empowerment workshop for higher opportunities in cities and awareness program against cases of human trafficking and various scams on Saturday, at IMC hall fellowship colony, Dimapur.
The interactive session on higher education and career aspects was led by former student leader and young entrepreneur Timothy Chongthu where he pointed out that one’s career starts from the time they enter into student life because that is when one decides their destiny.
His presentation included a detail about educational courses and various programs available in the central universities to create awareness among students of Nagaland.
Another interactive session on the issues of scams and human trafficking faced by the North East population in the cities was conducted by Nagaland representative to the Delhi Chief Minister’s North East Committee and public relations professional, Chumbemo M. Patton where he dwelt on the importance of learning other languages, what to do when students reach a city, how to be street smart and make smart decisions, be aware of certain situations, and to be confident so that they will be able to achieve what they were looking for. “Greatness is what you do in the end”, he stated and reminded the parents that their kids were as good as anybody else.
A third interactive session on understanding social work, its reach and its limitations was carried out by former executive member helping hands, NGO and social worker Wangring Rangang and another interactive session on understanding city dynamics and sharing of lived experience was conducted by Pragtisheel Vision foundation NGO & socio political activist, Linda Newmai.
Several students, parents and other interested citizens, besides the delegates, attended the program.
