Youth festival in Tuensang

As part of the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Campaign, district administration, District Sports Office Tuensang, and Chang Wedoshe Steshang (CWS) of Tuensang organised Youth Festival at Town Hall, Tuensang on September 25.


The festival was graced by ADC Tuensang, Thungchanbemo Tungoe as keynote speaker.
A DIPR report informed that ADC in his speech, emphasized the significance of the Youth Festival in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.


He urged students to take pride in their knowledge of the area’s traditions and culture. He further encouraged all eligible students who have reached the age of 18 to register themselves as voters and actively participate in clean elections.


Tungoe also stressed the importance of selecting dedicated and energetic candidates who can work for the welfare of the community.
The festival included various competitions and activities, such as photography, folk song performances, and a millet dish competition.


The event was chaired by Langasomba, vice president of CWS, while Pongsu, president of CWS highlighted the importance of organizing the festival.
The Youth Festival saw enthusiastic participation from students across Tuensang Town.
