District administration Tuensang, in partnership with AISECT Nagaland, inaugurated a one-month training course on domestic electrical and tailoring for unemployed youth at Town Hall Tuensang on October 4.
A DIPR report informed that EAC (P) Küdazo Swüro, who graced the event, emphasized the importance of acquiring skills and highlighted that skill-based employment opportunities have no gender specifications. Swüro expressed concern on the high levels of unemployment in the country, attributing it to a lack of skills among the youth. He underlined that the training program’s primary goal was to empower the unemployed youth of Tuensang, creating self-employment opportunities and enabling them to earn a sustainable livelihood.
A total of 77 enthusiastic trainees have enrolled for the domestic electrical and tailoring training programs.
