YSU new office building inaugurated

The new office building of Yikhum Students Union (YSU) under Wokha district was inaugurated by member Nagaland State Human Rights Commission, R. Nzanbemo Lotha as guest of honour on September 9.
According to YSU, the guest of honour in his speech exhorted the students’ community to lead a self-discipline and virtuous life to become successful.


He urged them to not be an ordinary, average and mediocre student but to work hard to become extraordinary person. He further reminded the students that success was not created by chance but created by design and therefore encouraged them to be a good designer of their future during their student life.


The inaugural program was chaired by Noyingbeni Murry and started with an invocation by YBC women leader Precilla Kithan. Welcome address was delivered by YSU president, Longshithung Kithan and the new building was dedicated by sr. asso. pastor, Shanjamo Odyuo. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by convener Building Committee, Mhondamo Kikon.


The inaugural program was attended by hundreds of students, Village Council members, Church leaders, elders from various places. It may be noted that the Yikhum village will be celebrating 125 years of Christianity this year.


In this regard, the president, his colleagues and the building committee of YSU expressed gratitude to all individuals for their supports and assistance during the construction of the new office building.
