YTC holds thanksgiving on historic FNTA MoA signing

Dimapur: Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) organized a thanksgiving programme to mark the historic signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA).
Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) vice-president, Throngshi, presented a brief historical account of the signing. Former Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) president and former YTC working president, Kius Chuba, shared the genesis of the formation of TMPO to ENPO and its role in the demand. Yanba Showuba recalled the contributions of late leaders including late Throngshi, late Youngsonglo, late Thsankiu, and late Toshi Wongtung, along with six eastern brothers, who stood united to achieve the recent success.
Former member of the Talk Team on the State Demand Committee, Khalenmew, expressed gratitude to past and present leaders and the public for their unwavering support. Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) president, Nuheymong Yimkhiung, acknowledged the sacrifices of leaders and noted that ENSF had been part of the signatories since the beginning of the statehood demand. He thanked all stakeholders for their resilient support.
YTC president, Throngso Yimkhiung, expressed gratitude to both past and present leaders, stating that without them the historic MoA would not have been possible. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Nagaland chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio and his government for making the demand a reality for the people of Eastern Nagaland. He also thanked citizens of Eastern Nagaland, particularly the Yimkhiungs, for their faith in their leaders and urged continued prayers and support for the common cause.
YTC executive chairman, Makezho, also expressed gratitude to all those behind the success of the MoA signing and voiced confidence in the Nagaland government for early notification as assured by chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio. Earlier, the programme was chaired by YTC vice-president, S. Yansomong.
