YUL, YTC condemn June 20 incident

Yongnyah Union Longleng (YUL) and Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) have strongly condemned the attack at the residence of P. Chingan president Phom People’s Council (PPC) at Longleng on June 20.  

YUL: Yongnyah Union Longleng (YUL) in a condemnation note by YUL president, C. Longvai and general secretary, C. Bangpah stated that, violent act has no place in the society and urged district administration and Police to investigate the incident and arrest the culprit (s). The union further appealed to all sections of society to maintain peace and harmony and all right thinking citizens to condemn so that actions in future were not repeated.
YTC: Yimchungrü Tribal Council (YTC) in a condemnation by information and publicity secretary, Mathew K. Janger stated that “no motive can warrant such a shameful and inhuman deed” as such act has no place in a civilized society and especially when Eastern Naga People Organization (ENPO) has declared peace amongst the Naga political groups within its jurisdiction at this crucial stage. YTC urged the enforcing agency not to take the incident lightly and leave no stone unturned until the culprits were given befitting punishment as per the provision of the law.
