Yung Aung-led NSCN (K) has claimed responsibility for the attack on Assam Rifles personnel near Nyasa village, under Mon district on Monday.
In a press release, MIP in-charge ‘col.(retd)’ Joseph stated that on August 15, 2022 at 2am, a combined tactical team of the Naga Army and ULFA-I attacked the Assam rifles stationed near Nyasa village “causing heavy casualties to the enemy forces.”
Yung Aung-led NSCN (K) has warned that the attack on the “occupational forces” would intensify “so long as India continues to willfully and aggressively deny our right to self-determination.”
