Yuva Shakti Rally under the slogan “spread the poshan message” — an initiative under the Prime Minister’s “overarching scheme for holistic nourishment” to promote nutrition — was organised in Dimapur district along with the rest of the country on September 15.
A press release by Dimapur Government College publicity and media cell stated that, this event was organized under the initiative of the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Dimapur Government College (DGC) along with five other institutions in collaboration with the district administration and directorate of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.
The rally was flagged off by ADC Dimapur, Albert Ezung, at DC Court Junction and it culminated at sub-jail area. Mezhulhoulie Angami, program officer of NSS, DGC chaired the program and Medonuo Khrikethoii Kense, youth resources officer, Dimapur, gave a brief speech on the slogan for the rally.
Altogether 200 NSS volunteers participated in the rally along with program officers of Immanuel College, Unity College, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, St. John College and Pranabananda Women’s College.
Yuva Shakti Rally held in Mokokchung
Yuva Shakti Rally was conducted on September 15 in Mokokchung. The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal.
The rally was organized by District Sport Office under the Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment. A hundred NSS volunteers participated in the rally displaying banners, placards spreading awareness on nutrition, healthcare and sanitation.
