‘Yuva Utsav’ organised at Tseminyu Town

The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Tseminyu under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India in collaboration with district administration Tseminyu and GHS Tseminyu organized a one-day mega event “Yuva Utsav” at Town Hall, Tseminyu on May 22 with Jwenga Seb, MLA as special guest.
According to a DIPR report, Seb said the special occasion of “Yuva Utsav” is celebration of the energy, enthusiasm and potential of the youth.
He said it provides a platform for young people to participate in various community development programmes and contribute to the development of communities and for young people to showcase their talents and skills.
As they celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, (75 years of Indian Independence), Seb stated that they must remember the sacrifice made by their freedom fighters and strive to fulfil their dreams by embracing the Panch Pran of Amrit Kaal. “It is a time of great opportunity for India where the country can build on the strengths and overcome its challenges to become a developed nation”, he added.
He said that the Prime Minister has laid out resolutions for India of their nation’s progress – The goal of a developed India; removing any trace of colonial mindset; taking pride in their roots and promoting unity and promote a sense of duty among citizen.
He said that the winner of the district level will participate at the state level “Yuva Utsav” which is a two-day programme, scheduled to be held during August to September 2023 at state capital.
The winner of the State level shall participate at the National level “Yuva Utsav” to be held in the 3rd/4th week of October 2023 in Delhi.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Nency Semy, invocation prayer was pronounced by superintendent, Nagaland State Council of AGEI, Rev. Tusaya Kath and welcome address by president Women Club Tseminyu Town, Sole Tep, while the keynote address was delivered by account & programme assistant NYKS, Ruokuovikho Chale.
Other highlight of the programme includes declamation contest, cultural fest, painting, poetry and photo exhibition.
