ZBN, NAYO condemn assault

Zeliangrong Baudi (Hoho) Nagaland has condemned the action of unscrupulous youth who purportedly assaulted Neizeo Yhome, Officer In-charge (OC) of Jalukie, and his assistant at Jalukie and warned that those inhuman action carry out against the responsible office would be dealt with seriously.
The Baudi president, Rangsam N Hau and the general secretary, Meijing Gonmei have appealed to the law enforcing agency to book the culprit and give punitive befitting  punishment so that such brutal act is not perpetrate again in the future. While condemning the incident, the Baudi has cautioned the concerned village authority to see that such brutal activities do not occur in the village by anyone.
Meanwhile, the Baudi has conveyed speedy recovery in the course of his treatment.
In a related statement, Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO) has condemned and expressed outraged against assault meted to its member Neizeu Yhome and his assistant by a group of unruly youth.
NAYO has also resented the insensitive behaviour of the investigating officer at Jalukie police station towards visiting relatives on February 23, while it urged the SP, Peren, to change the investigating officer who had declared all the assaulters as minors without verifying their age.
NAYO reminded the law enforcement that releasing Haibobe Zeliang, Kidun Zeliang, Gaijuaklung Rongmei, Dingtanlung and Paulangwang all from New Jalukie village from confinement before the victims health is assured and issue is settled both in a court of law and beyond would cause further complications. NAYO, while wishing a speedy recovery to both UBSI Neizeu and his valiant assistant, also appreciated the quick response of the local policeman. It further urged the home department to immediately take action at the earliest as deterrent to future recurrence.
