Power department has informed that the 132kV Zunheboto-Mokokchung Transmission Line would be test charged at the rated voltage with effect from July 22, 2025 and would be kept idle charged.
In a press release, Mokokchung transmission division executive engineer Hekaito Assumi informed that the Transmission Line passes through the jurisdiction of the following villages/town: Ungma under Mokokchung district and Sumi Settsu, Zaphumi, Lumami, Alaphumi, Lumithsami, Akuluto, Lokobomi, Awotsakilimi, Vikhomi, Askhuto Town, Yeshlotomi, Imlomi, Litsami and Lizu New under Zunheboto district.
In this regard, the department has informed the public neither touch the transmission line nor go near it for safety purposes. It cautioned that anybody doing so would be doing at their own risk and the department would not be held responsible for any untoward incident whatsoever.
