The Zeliangrong Catholic Association of Nagaland (ZCAN) has Friday demanded justice for late Rita Haorei whose mortal remains was denied burial at her native village Leingangching. The association also rejected the “one village, one denomination” norms stating that it was outdated and unconstitutional as it violates basic fundamental rights of the citizen of a country. The association in a press release issued by its president Ambrose Makuthai and general secretary Earnest Zeliang also requested the chief minister of Manipur to intervene in the matter and do the needful for the greater interest and welfare of justice.
