Zeliangrong Baudi (Nagaland) expressed dismay over the “arrest” of one senior member of NSCN/GPRN-K under Niki Sumi allegedly by NSCN (I-M) members on April 12, 2022 in Jalukie area.
ZB (N) media cell said the incident, “fortunately”, did not escalate to serious confrontation following the intervention of senior NSCN (I-M) officials. Baudi said the “arrested person” was later released unharmed.
According to ZB (N), the civil society organisations (CSOs) of Peren district have, appealed to all the “National workers” to desist from such acts particularly “inter-factional confrontation”, which would create law and order situation in Peren district when the whole Naga society was yearning for peaceful political settlement at this juncture.
Baudi has, therefore, called for adherence to ceasefire ground rules, not only with the Indian security forces, but also among “our own National Workers”, which it said was of “paramount importance.” ZB (N) maintained that any dispute be tackled and resolved through dialogue “among brothers” as Nagas have had enough of such in the past. The Baudi appealed for allowing peace and harmony to prevail and shunning activities that “vitiates harmony in our fragile society.”
