Zeliang Kuki GBs Union (ZKGBU) met Commandant 36 Assam Rifles at his office on October 5 and submitted an application for establishment of Assam Rifles outpost in Khelma Kebai area.
A press release from vice chairman, ZKGBU, Rangnim Pame and chairman, Kuki GBs Union, Lamhen Singson, stated that the unions projected demand on behalf of public to maintain peace and security environment in Khelma Kebai area, and also apprised about willingness of locals for Assam Rifles post for benefit of the region. During the meeting, an application for repair of gravel track existing between Ikesingram village and new Nkio, was also submitted, where the commandant positively responded to the representatives and assured to project their requirements to higher authorities for needed action.
