ZSU holds general session

Zeme Students’ Union (ZME), Nagaland headquarter Nsong, has held its general session cum election of new office bearers on January 29 and 30 at New Beisumpui village, with D Robin, SDO (C), Peren, as the chief guest and Adua Pame as guest of honour.
Addressing the session, the chief guest exhorted the students on the topic ‘winner never do different things but they do things different’ and referred to Zeme song ‘Zeme Keie pelui yilei, machi mene lung kezei lei’ meaning ‘Zeme has beautiful land, literature and quality people were match to live in.’ He lamented that Zeme community still lacks behind in many aspects even after 28th years of conference, the chief guest has urged the gathering to ponder on the issue seriously and make a move towards progress.
Guest of honour, in his message, said the society would lack behind if they don’t show respect, love and honour to the leaders, elders, parents etc. He quoted his message from the Bible verse Ecclesiastics 9:10.
ZSU president expressed gratitude to all its donors for their financial and moral support. Meanwhile, the Union has elected its new members lead by Akam Pame as president, Haimet Kuame as vice president, Dekhaibe as general secretary along with three advisors, two representatives and seven other members.
