ZSU(N) apologises to NSCN (I-M)

Zeme Students’ Union (N) has expressed its regret to the NSCN (I-M) authority over its press statement published on December 29, 2018, wherein it had urged NSCN (I-M) to recall its armed cadres from New Ngaulong village to base camp in order to maintain peace and harmony and sanctity of cease fire ground rules in the region  In a press release, ZSUN president Aakam and information & publicity secretary Suirangbe said the NSCN (I-M) authority and ZSUN officials met and agreed to have mutual understanding, work cohesively and trust each other. ZSUN expressed the belief that NSCN (I-M) would act as a guardian of peace in the region and the student body would extend its cooperation in bringing lasting peace and viable solution for the Nagas.

The union said it realised that presence of NSCN (I-M) cadres was a necessity and in no way a treat to the local populace. ZSUN further expressed its sincere regret to the NSCN (I-M) and all the responsible for the inconvenience caused by its statement and looked forward to collaborate in whatever way possible.
