Zunheboto Town Youth Organization (ZTYO), CANSSEA Zunheboto Unit and Teniyimi Union Zunheboto (TUZ) has condemned the arrest of district consultant, National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP), Zunheboto and general secretary TUZ Mudosayi Hurie on July 7 by 5 Assam Rifle Zunheboto.
In a press release by ZTYO president Awoto Yeptho, CANSSEA secretary Mughalu Awomi and TUZ president Mhasilhounyii stated that Mudosayi Hurie was arrested by 5 Assam Rifles under the command of Assistant Commandant K Chauhan, Town Post Commander Zunheboto in broad daylight at SBI Main Branch, project colony Zunheboto while he was on his way to deposit cash.
The organizations said that the victim had also produced his government employee identity card and other belongings, which he was carrying at that time however was whisked away to the AR Headquarters along with his vehicle.
The three organizations has vehemently condemned the act of highhandedness of 5 Assam rifle and warned the 5 AR to desist from such “ignorant act”.
