ZTYO condemns Aug 8 incident

Zunheboto Town Youth Organization (ZTYO) has vehemently condemned the attempted physical assault on Kughato K. Sumi, a Correspondent of Nagaland Post and founding member of ZTYO on August 8 by two individuals at DC hill colony, Zunheboto.
In a press note, ZTYO said that the incident was supposedly in connection with a forgery case where both the individuals were allegedly involved. ZTYO said that the duo, in an inebriated condition, hurled insults and accused Kughato of trying tarnish their image by exposing the crime in the media. Though no such report was filed or published in any media, the duo tried to assault the correspondent. On seeing the commotion, ZTYO said that nearby by people stopped the duo from assaulting Kughato. ZTYO, said its representatives verified the incident after talking to witnesses. ZTYO said it would “not tolerate such acts of intimidation and abuse on law abiding members of the society”. In this regard, ZTYO has demanded that the duo publicly apologise to the victim within three days from the publication of the statement. Failing which, it said that ZTYO would file an FIR based on evidence of the witness reports.
