The Zunheboto Town Youth Organization (ZTYO) has expressed its dismay and anguish over the January 11 abduction incident in Phek district (later rescued from Kipheri District by the Sumi Hoho after 2 weeks since abduction). While condemning the incident, ZTYO Media Cell, in a press note, has also lauded the Sumi Hoho for the timely intervention before any “ugly incident or escalation law and order”.
ZTYO has also urged all the concerned NPGs not to repeat such blunder which directly hampers the developmental activities. “Though the incident or confinement of the abductees/ victims did not take place in the Sumi Region or Zunheboto district, ZTYO will not tolerate such evil acts within its jurisdiction,” it cautioned.
