Zunheboto and Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meetings were held Tuesday at respective district headquarters.
Zunheboto: The monthly DPDB meeting was held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Zunheboto Office under the chairmanship of advisor, land resources and chairman Zunheboto DPDB, Ikuto G. Zhimomi.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, Zhimomi acknowledged the contributions and services of heads of offices of the district during 50 years of Zunheboto district and Ahuna festival celebration.
He then asked the head of offices to be sincere, be present at the station and serve the people with full dedication. The advisor asked them to try to create employment avenues for the people through their concern departments.
Zhimomi also released the souvenir of the recently concluded Golden Jubilee cum Ahuna celebration.
Agenda discussed during the meeting included creation of SDAO Agri office at Atoizu, creation of EAC headquarter at Tokiye Town and request for jungle cutting clearance from power department.
Longleng: Longleng DPDB meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) and vice chairman DPDB Longleng, DPDB, Dharam Raj at DPDB Hall, Longleng. According to a DIPR report, during the meeting, the DC requested all heads of offices to submit agenda through the DPDB. The house deliberated on the upcoming Republic Day celebration. The DC reminded the officers to carry out the respective assigned works as per work distribution.
The house also discussed about the shortage of JCOs and training for the newly recruited personals of VGs in the district. The Department of Village Guard (VG) highlighted their activities through a PowerPoint presentation.
