ZVYC celebrates golden Jubilee; inaugurates new office building

Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (ZVYC) marked its Golden Jubilee with the inauguration of a new office building at the Zeliangrong Community Hall her on Saturday. Rev Dr. Visor H Zeliang dedicated the building, while Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, as guest of honor, inaugurated and released ZVYC’s souvenir.


In his speech, Dr. Tinojongshi congratulated the club on reaching the milestone and commended the founders for their visionary leadership. He emphasized the responsibility of the current members to carry forward this legacy for community and societal betterment. Encouraging unity, peace, and love, he urged leaders to collaborate for the progress of Dimapur district, assuring his support.


SDO (C) Wokha Tsidi Hairang, a special invitee, extended jubilee greetings and praised the positive transformation of the colony, especially in terms of cleanliness and combating substance abuse.

Hairang highlighted the youth’s commendable efforts, emphasizing skill development and setting life goals. Short speeches were delivered by representatives from Zeliangrongram Colony Council, Zeliangrongram GBs, Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organization, and Rongmei Naga People’s Organization (N). The event featured choir and traditional dance performances, observing a minute of silence for pioneers.


ZVYC president Luchuga welcomed attendees, and finance secretary Hegwangnamhei offered vote of thanks. Zeliangrong Baptist Church Pastor Dinggailung Panmei concluded with a benediction, followed by a jubilee feast and a musical night, encapsulating the club’s 50-year journey, blending tradition and modernity, fostering community spirit, and setting the stage for a promising future.
