The Zeliangrong Youth Organization Nagaland (ZYON) has resolved to give the state government a 30-day ultimatum to deliver justice in connection with the Pimla murder incident.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, ZYON president R. John Zeliang informed that the decision was taken after a crucial meeting held Monday at the Commissioner of Police (CP) office in Dimapur, attended by Deputy Commissioners (DC) of Chümoukedima and Peren districts.
Further, John informed that ZYON had also decided to keep its agitation in abeyance following the assurances given by Commissioner Nagaland.
During the meeting, John said the CP requested a one-month extension to ensure justice is served. Responding to the request, ZYON agreed to the timeline but warned that if justice was not delivered within the stipulated period, the organization would launch an intense agitation, including a total shutdown of Peren district.
ZYON also stated it would coordinate with its subordinate bodies in Chümoukedima and Dimapur to intensify the movement if necessary.
