Chümoukedima Watsu Telen (CWT) has condemned the extortion demand of Rs. 50 lakh on Aolemba Lkr by cadres of NSCN (Khango) on December 16.

Sümi community commemorated the 11th Sümi Martyrs’ Day on December 28, at the Sümi Martyrs’ Park in Sukhalu village, Zunheboto district. According to Sumi Hoho media cell, the event was organized by Sümi Hoho to honor the memory of those who sacrificed their lives during the December 2013 Siege of Mukalimi.

The state capital, Kohima, is experiencing a sharp decline in temper-atures, marking the arrival of the winter season. During the first week of December, temperatures hovered around a warm 28°C during the day and 15°C at night. However, recent days have seen daytime highs drop to 22°C, with nighttime lows plummeting to 9°C.

NSCN (I-M) ato kilonser Th. Muivah has expressed deep grief over the demise of the former prime minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. In a condolence message, Th. Muivah described Dr. Singh as “a leader of great vision and integ-rity”, who was instrumental in advancing the “Indo-Naga” peace talks. Muivah recalled that under Dr. Singh’s leadership, a team from his council of ministers was tasked with engaging the NSCN leadership, “reflecting his genuine commitment to resolving the Naga issue.”
