5 AR nabs NSCN (K) member

5 Assam Rifles launched an operation in Alahuto Colony, Zunheboto on August 16 and apprehended one NSCN (K) member.
A press note by PRO, HQ IGAR (North) stated that the apprehended claimed to be NSCN (K) ‘capt’ Vinato Assumi (35) son of Hukishe Assumi. PRO said he was handed over to Zunheboto police station for further investigation.
