The 7th edition of August Rush 2023 under Richa Productions Kohima is scheduled to take place on August 15 at The Heritage, Old DC’s Bungalow, Kohima.
Announcing this during a press conference on Wednesday at Hotel Japfü, event director, Dr. Teputo Richa and event head, Medo Kense informed that the event involved various agencies and budding potential youths, under the theme “Where creativity meets skills.”
It may be mentioned that August Rush was started in 2016 with an intention to give platform to the young entrepreneurs and young artistes and talented youngsters to come together and celebrate and promote their talents at the same time.
The mega fun event include: 1st August Rush Power Lifting Championship in collaboration with Flex Appeal Gym under the categories 65-75 kg and 76-85 kg with cash prize of Rs 10,000 each including gift hampers, food supplements and exclusive gym membership for runners-up.
2nd edition of Nagaland Umbrella Festival 2023 under “A Naga Umbrella” where the creativity, designing and painting an umbrella is encouraged and the winner would win a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and many gift hampers.
3rd edition of August Rush Fittest Man & Woman 2023, and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 with certificates gift hampers and exclusive gym membership.
Edition of Spring-Summer Fashion 2024 show in collaboration with RS Academy of design and talent foresight, showcasing the young ingenious minds and their designs and focused on the traditional and Naga identity dresses and costumes.
The Best of August Rush competition winner would receive package including cash prize of Rs. 10,000 sponsored by Magdalene coaching centre, a ‘guitar’ by Jubal Store, Mumbai; ‘headphones’ by Geisuo Academy of Music, Jotsoma and ‘microphone’ by Tati Group Enterprise including free music video to the winner by Megspixel and free audio recording contract by Frequenzy Studio.
Stalls for local entrepreneurs, artistes will be opened for them to display and promote their products and the best stall will be selected and presented gift hampers.
The programme will start from 9 am onwards and likely to continue till 9:30 pm with entry fee of Rs. 100 per person.
