
One day workshop on “career avenues” was organised by Phek Government College (PGC) Career Guidance and Counselling Cell (CGCC) on February 26 at the college “audio visual room” for B.A and B.Sc. 6th semester students.
Speaking at the workshop as resource person, EAC Phek, Tiayanger Jamir presented a comprehensive and extensive power point presentation on “career avenues”.
He briefed the students on the career options after their graduation like sitting for competitive exams or in the field of sports, music, entrepreneurship, tourism etc.
The release stated that the students showed much enthusiasm and actively participated during the interactive session where many queries on different issues were put up.
Earlier, delivering a welcome address, PGC principal Dr. Katoni Jakhalu encouraged the students saying “no one is born an achiever but with hard work, a disciplined life and the belief in oneself would lead one to be successful person”.
She also highlighted on the need of such workshop for students so that they learn, equip themselves and rightly choose from the vast career options ahead of them.
The programme was chaired by member CGCC and assistant professor, department of Education, Meyetsolo Ritse while vote of thanks was delivered by convener CGCC and assistant professor, department of Chemistry, Dr. H. Atoholi Sema.
