KTDSSU general conference postponed

Kiphire/Tuensang District Sumi Students Union (KTDSSU) has postponed its ensuing 15th general conference which was scheduled to be held from January 6-8 at Sukiur-B village.  KTDSSU said the conference has been postponed due to “nomenclature issue of Sitimi Area as Singti Area” at Kiphiri district.
KTDSSU said “president Kipheri/Tuensang District Sumi Students Union (KTDSSU) has been allegedly accused and is kept in the custody of district jail Kiphiri”.
“The conference will be kept in abeyance till the pertaining issue is solved. We offer sincere apology to all program officials in particular and the Sumi community of Kiphiri and Tuensang district in general for the inconveniences” stated KTDSSU. Further, KTDSSU informed that the reschedule of the conference will be notified through local dailies.
