Power blackout in Mon

Department of power has informed technical fault in 66KV Tuli-Naginimora-Tizit transmission line has caused blackout in the whole of Mon district. In a press release, SDO (transmission), Mokokchung transmission division stated that due to heavy storm and rain, the transmission line developed fault at numerous locations and also snapped one of the conductors due to lightning strike at Anaki-C village, Mokokchung on May 26. The department said it was working on a war footing to restore stable power supply at the earliest.
