A new 250 KVA 11/0.4 KV Transformer was installed successfully at medical colony Pungro Town on Saturday.
Speaking at the dedication programme, SDO (Elect) Pungro, N. Rumphio Lotha, expressed happiness that the residents could now access electricity in all the colonies of Pungro Town and he appealed to the general public to cooperate with the department in all necessary activities for smooth delivery of electricity.
Lotha further encouraged the gathering to extend their help in future for any need that may arise especially for clearing things like tree branches in their respective colonies, maintenance of line and power sub-station, proper use of electricity and regular payment of bill. The programme was attended by Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division (PFPSD), Yimchungru Tribal Council (YTC), GBs Union Pungro Sub- Division Colonies Chairmen’s and officials from Yimchungberu Arihako (YBA) Pungro Town.
Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) president S. Kiusumew Yimchungru, expressed gratitude the power department officials, engineer in chief, chief engineer T&R and E.E (E) Kiphire for their initiative and the execution of the work. The forum further urged upon the department to provide regular power supply without interruptions and assured the department of their full cooperation for any work in the days to come.
