Night curfew reinforced

A night curfew has been reinforced from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland with effect from April 18 for a period of 60 days. According to DIPR, addl. district magistrate Sivasagar, in an order, stated that night curfew has been imposed as a precautionary measure to prevent occurrence of anti-social elements, extremist and unlawful activities coming across Assam/Nagaland border.
