CBC women convention concludes

Three-day, 7th Chakhesang Baptist Church (CBC) women convention under the theme, “be prepared to be the pure bride of Christ” concluded October 4 at Pfutsero town Baptist Church. Around 3000 women attended the convention held once in 10 years.
Gospel speakers were executive secretary CBCC Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, general secretary APBF Rev. Bonny Resu and women secretary NBCC Visasieü Dolie. Resource persons were research executive, resource centre Dimapur Dr. Adele Mero, teacher and author Dimapur Imtijungla, former women secretary CBCC VesüzolüTetseo, state coordinator DMC administrative training institute Nagaland Dr. Hovithal Sothu and Bible study leader was lecturer Baptist Theological College Pfutsero Dr. Vekutulü L. Veyie.
Speaking on the theme, Rev. Vezopa Tetseo delivered a message wherein Apostle John had stressed on the New Jerusalem as the “holy city’ and alluded it to a “bride” beautifully attired for her bridegroom. He said that this signified the purity and devotion of the bride and called upon every child of God, washed in the blood of the lamb to maintain purity of life. He expounded on life free from sorrow or death in the kingdom of Heaven where God would dwell with humankind. He called upon the congregation to inherit this kingdom through keeping oneself pure and undefiled in any way.
All the participating delegates were richly blessed by the power of the Holy Spirit and resolved on the following points: (1). Committed to combat and stop the evil of human trafficking by creating awareness through seminars on human trafficking issues in all the churches. (2). To educate and sensitize women based on biblical principles and teachings  through seminars/ workshops and pulpit preaching and to organize home  visitation in all the local churches and give proper guidelines on clean election. (3). To uphold the NLTP Act and appealed all the believers to reaffirm its commitment to the cause and prayed for the deliverance of those who were gripped by the abuse of alcoholism. (4). In recognition and conformity with purity of the bride of Christ, the delegates resolved to keep hearts, minds, and bodies holy without moral blemish or stain for the purposes of God.
