Basing on specific information, troops of 33 Assam rifles (AR) launched an operation on February 15 and apprehended two civil wing cadres of NSCN (IM) along with incriminating documents who came for extortion at ADC Colony, Naginimora.
The cadres have been identified as Hamwang (Raja Peyu) and L Yakup Konyak, deputy Kilonser of NSCN (IM).
The apprehended individuals were handed over to Naginimora police station.
