Special Court for PwDs in all districts

Nagaland government has designated Session Court in each district in the state as Special Court to provide speedy trial for offences committed against Person with Disabilities (PwDs). 

In this regard, all Public Prosecutors, Addl. Public Prosecutors and Asst. Public Prosecutors have been designated as special prosecutor to conduct cases in these special courts, informed State commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Diethono Nakhro in a statement. Nakhro further informed that anyone who fraudulently avails or attempts to avail any benefit meant for persons with benchmark disabilities will be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine which may be extended to one lakh rupees or with both.
