Mission Indradhanush 2.0 launched

In line with the government of India, Nagaland government also launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0 on December 2 which will be carried out from December 2019 and March 2020.
The aim of the IMI 2.0 was to prevent eight diseases under the mission. The scheme ensures the children under the age of 2 years and pregnant women were immunized against eight vaccine-preventable diseases.
Kiphire: In Kiphire, the drive was launched at District Hospital Kiphire by District Programme Officer (RCH-UIP), Dr. K. Pewezo Khalo.  He appealed to all the field health workers to perform their duty sincerely and ensured that no child/ pregnant mothers were left out but to vaccinate all the targeted beneficiaries. He also challenges the staff that the district should achieve 100% coverage.   
WOKHA: The drive was launched in Wokha where District Immunization Officer Wokha, Dr. Khelito Zhimomi informed that immunization will be carried out in Bhandari and Wokha Sadar.  Dr. Khelito further added that ten villages in Bhandari block were being targeted as there was no sub centres and routine immunization cannot be held regularly in these areas. ANMs, GNMs, ASHAs and Angawadi workers were asked to ensured that they work sincerely to achieve the target.
