
Chümoukedima Village Youth Society (CVYS) has notified all habitants and denizens around Chümoukedima village of its resolution to ban several activities with effect from March 1.
In a press release, CVYS president, Kedovikho Visezo, general secretary, Rokovikho Thepa and information and publicity, Nounelhoutuo Thepa have informed that the society has banned hunting, jungle burning, “possession of any type of guns” within its jurisdiction.
CVYS has also warned against “igniting wild-fire during hunting and cultivation”, fishing, picnicking, unauthorised door to door business without legal papers, collection of wood, partying, loitering after 8 p.m etc.
CVYS said the penalty and stern action as per the customary law and standing resolution would be imposed against defaulters.
