Phase-2: 180 sr. citizens avail COVID vaccine

As India’s Covid-19 vaccination phase-II began Monday, 180 senior citizens in the age group of 60 years and above and 13 beneficiaries with associated comorbidity above 45 years were vaccinated across the state Monday without any reported adverse events needing medical intervention. According to State Immunization Officer (UIP), Dr. RituThurr, the oldest beneficiary was an 89-year-old man from Longleng. The total doses administered in the state till date stood at 35,789. Dr. Thurr also informed that vaccination of age-appropriate high-risk groups will be scaled up across the state from March 7, 2021. All citizens can self-register through cowin.gov.in or do onsite registration along with a Photo ID.
