Thuvopisumi Welfare Union Kohima (TWUK) and Thuvopisumi Youth Association Kohima (TYAK) have strongly condemned the incident meted out to one of its member, Dr. Nusazo Tetseo, a medical doctor at Bethel Hospital Kohima,.
In a condemnation note, TWUK chairman Kuvesho Tetseo and TYAK president Kuthophuyi Tetseo claimed that on April 30 evening, a group led by one Binod Nepali, a local taxi driver illegally searched the private residence of the doctor on the “unfounded charge of thievery”.
They further alleged that on May 1, the same group publicly harassed and humiliated the doctor within the confines of Bethel Hospital Kohima on the above stated unestablished charge of stealing his mobile phone.
TWUK and TYAK accused Binod of instigating the whole episode in complete disregard to the privacy and dignity of the doctor.
The unions said they were aggrieved by the humiliation meted out to its member and therefore urged the law enforcing authorities to deliver justice at the earliest, failing which they would not be held responsible for any untoward incident that might happen.
