Nagaland’s lone oxygen plant set to function from today

State’s lone oxygen plant BMA Liquid Air is all set to function from Saturday.

Confirming this to Nagaland Post, proprietor of BMA Liquid Air’s Imti Aier said after the main motor got damaged, the plant experienced some other technical glitches with the pulleys that are used to pull the main compressor engine.

It was learnt that the new pulleys were brought in on Thursday and repairing of the machine was underway. Unless the pulleys are functional, the entire production will be stalled, he said.

Till the time of filing this report, it was not confirmed as to when the plant would be functional again, though Aier expressed the hope that the plant would be fully operational by Saturday.
