National People’s Party (NPP) Nagaland have vehemently condemned “the blatant atrocities committed against Christian communities and acts of vandalism upon Christian institutions in the BJP-ruled states of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.” A press release from NPP Nagaland, secretary IPR, Limanuksung Longkumer called threats on Christmas, the birth of Christ, celebrations, unacceptable and that they seek to divide the nation along secular lines which was a direct threat to the secular ethos and rights provided by the Indian constitution. They urged the NBCC, local Church associations and right-thinking citizens of Nagaland to condemn these threats and violence against Christian communities.
