RDK organises open virtual solo competition for youth of Phek

With a view to encourage positivity amid the pandemic, Razu Dzüve Krotho (RDK) has organised an open virtual solo competition for the youth of Phek district.

Founding member of the group Nuthipru Nienu, during an interaction informed that the purpose of the competition was to provide a platform, discover young talents and build confidence in them to pursue their passion.

The organisers informed that they received an 70 entries for the competition out of which 60 submitted their video.

Out of the entries a total of ten contestants including Sakulü Lohe, Hümünulü Curhah, Neitso-u Losou, Lolia Ngouri, Kute-o Koza, Thüjongolü Khüsoh, Rukuta Lohe, Pfita Pfunu, Tshezokhro-u T Mero, and Vesekho Dozo have been shortlisted, the organisers informed.

For the next course of the competition, the organisers have requested shortlisted contestants to submit another video on or before July 1, for the final evaluation, results of which is expected to be announced in a few weeks time.

Judges for the competition include Task Force for Music and Arts, project director Dr Hovithal Sothu, music teacher at Baptist Theological College, Pfutsero and international performing artiste Anuri L Nienu and musician Vesavolu Rhakho. The organisers informed that the videos of all the participants would be made available on the group’s YouTube channel. Organisers also informed participants to stay tuned on the club’s social media platforms for more updates or post any queries or grievances.

It may be mentioned that Razu Dzüve Krotho is a non-profit organisation, formed with a vision to promote culture and traditions while focusing on the growth and welfare of the student community, encouraging the youth by showcasing their potential and talents.
