Prog on CPD module and diary for Kohima distt. school heads

Orientation programme on the pilot project of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) module and diary for school heads of Kohima district was held at SIEMAT Hall, SCERT on December 3. 

According to DIPR report, director SCERT, N. Chumchanbeni Kikon, advocated continuous professional development for school heads and teachers. 

She stated that CPD module and diary is going to be introduced in the schools for the first time as a pilot project in the country and it will greatly benefit the school head, teachers and the school as a whole. 

Kikon emphasized on the role of school heads as leaders, to bring transformation in one’s school. She congratulated the SIEMAT team for initiating and developing this CPD module and diary. She also launched the SLA Nagaland SCERT official YouTube channel. 

The programme was chaired by research associate Medemmongla Jamir, while research associate Thebi Joseph Shupao, highlighted on Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in reference to National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Reader, Benjungdenla Yaden, explained in detail the activities in the CPD module and diary, and the modalities of the project.
