Awareness on PMEGP scheme

A one day district level awareness camp on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) was held at District Industries Centre in Dimapur on Monday.
According to a press release issued by inspector District Industries Centre Dimapur, Kiyelu T Yeptho, the awareness camp was organised by District Industries Centre, Dimapur and attended by Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme applicants, who were on the process of setting up their proposed units and those intending to apply for the same during the year.
Resource persons of the camp, functional managers- Rarenbenla and Lucy Ngouri and inspectors- Kiyelu T Yeptho and Puloto Chishi enlightened the participants with vital information on how to apply for the scheme and how to carefully choose the project.
They also highlighted the aims of objectives of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme and how it has helped many unemployed set up income generating units besides generating employment as well.
They also stressed on the importance of timely repayment of the loan which not only keep the record of the beneficiary clean but can avail more loan in the days to come.
The officials also reminded the applicants to be sincere in their efforts and set up their proposed units as concerned agencies would be conducting physical verification.
On being questioned by the applicants, the officials stated that banks will sanction the loan to only genuine and sincere beneficiaries.
