ATMA, Kobulong block Mokokchung conducted a demonstration on seasonal management of honeybees and making of honey by-products at Kobulong on July 19, with progressive bee farmer since 1975, T.Chuba as the resource person.
He trained and demonstrated in detail as how to manage the bee colonies and what should be done during the different seasons of dearth period, build up period, honey flow period and harvesting period.
Later he showed the farmers how to make artificial queen cell by using beewax and preparation of medicinal honey syrup as well which was said to be helpful for treatment of liver and kidney, regulating blood pressure and treating digestive problems etc. Altogether 8 beekeepers attended the program.
