Dimapur police crime reports

Dimapur police has presented the reports of its activities carried out on November 30 and December 1. According to additional commissioner of police (crime)/PRO, on November 30, Dimapur police raided a hotel at Murgipatti and recovered seven cases of assorted liquor and arrested one person, Ramanand Kumar Mahato (42) son of Ram Naresh Mahato presently residing at Murgipatti Dimapur.
Dimapur Police on November 30 apprehended two persons namely Zhehoto Sumi and Kughato Sumi while “extorting money in the name of NSCN(U) from Tata Mobile”. PRO said Two mobile phones and cash of Rs.600 were recovered from their possession.
On November 30, Dimapur Police conducted a raid at Burma Camp and recovered three cases and 47 bottles of assorted liquor from the possession of Kevinguzo Thernuo (24) son of Thekrusalie Thernuo of Seiyhama, and presently residing at Burma Camp, Dimapur. Basing on information from reliable sources regarding arms smuggling activity at Bazar area, Burma Camp Dimapur, Dimapur Police on December 1 arrested one person namely Vihoto Rochill @James (38) “SS Tatar of NSCNK2(Isaak)” after a hot chase. PRO said the police recovered three point 32 pistols (country made) and two point 32 live rounds from his possession.
