Wokha District Bharat Scout and Guides (BS&G) in coordination with Home Guards, Civil Defence and SDRF, Medical (CMO Staff) and Youth Resource department organised a one-day disaster management training programme at DC conference hall, Wokha on Saturday.
At the training programme, District Commandant, Home Guards, Civil Defence & SDRF, Wokha, Ngongvai E Phom briefed the scouts and guides on how to equipped themselves and provides Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) at times of emergency.
He also insisted the participants that they can utilize the improvised method and saves lives during disaster.
Earlier, the welcome note, overview and objective of the programme was presented by YRO and DSO-cum-District Commissioner (Scout), Libemo Jami and short speech was delivered by W. Nzanbemo Humtsoe, Sr. SDEO-cum- district secretary BS&G.
Covid-19 related emergency response system were presented by CMO Staff, where First Aid with special application to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) were presented by Dr. Atheo Murry, Sr. Medical practitioner. Instructor, Hav. Mhonyamo Humtsoe also demonstrated on bandaging and emergency method of rescue and rope. Earlier, the programme was chaired by District Training Commissioner (guide), K. Abeni Ngullie.
