A meeting of the District Task Force for Immunization (DTFI) Kohima district was held on May 10 for Routine Immunization (RI) and Measles-Rubella (MR) Elimination drive, wherein shortage of mobilizers – Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers and lack of supervision were highlighted.
According to a DIPR report, during the meeting held at Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, SMO, World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr. Sheila Longkumer gave a brief review on RI under Kohima district. While briefing the status of coverage of immunization, Dr. Longkumer also highlighted the issues faced due to the shortage of mobilizers (ASHA) workers and lack of supervision which creates the gap.
